As previously mentioned, CJ Thomason and Robyn Richards are returning to Port Charles - just this time not on the General Hospital set. Next door actually. We caught up with them and asked them to share their thoughts about being back at the ABC studios.



"I am really excited!" ethuses Robyn. "I have really missed working steadily and I think I will get to here. I am excited that I get to see old friends and make new ones. So far I am just recurring on the show but hopefully I will be sticking around for at least awhile!"



"I am excited just to be working again!" CJ says with a smile. "I need to put food on the table and I love working in soaps. Plus the executive producer has some cool ideas in store for my character. It really sucked being fired and then having this character recast so many times. But Dee [exec producer/headwriter] says that I am most like the Lucas she imagines when she writes the character which is just great. This is really great and I'm glad to be back!"

Major casting rumor!

SOSM has learned that Emmy-winning, fan favorite Kimberly McCollough (ex-Robin, GH) was recently spotted at the Port Charles Revisited studios. Of course she has friends in the cast there but setside sources whisper that she is in talks to join the show! This would be a major coup for the show as Kim brings along a huge built-in fanbase and a great history with many of the cast and characters on the show. People say if she joins the show, there would be at least a few crossovers from sister soap, General Hospital. As you know if you have been following casting news about the upcoming soap PCR, some of Robin's family members are already recurring on the show (ie. Mac, Maxie, Felicia, etc.).

We hope this happens and we'll keep you up-to-date.

We are happy to announce that there are more than a few familiar characters and actors returning to Port Charles.

~ David Gail, who played Joe Scanlon 2.0, reclaims the role from the woefully miscast Alex Mendoza.

~ Robyn Richards returns as Maxie Jones and will be involved in the high school scene. At this point, she is just on recurring status but executive producer and headwriter Daphne Habes assures us that there is a definite possibility of her receiving a contract.

~ C.J. Thomason returns as Lucas Jones. He too will be involved in the teen set and is also on recurring with the possibility of becoming a contract cast member.

~ Dr. Ellen Burgess returns - but with a new face. Phylicia Rashad, of "The Cobsy Show" fame, takes over the part. Ellen has not been seen in PC since 1999 and the cast and crew are excited to see how Rashad will do in the role. So far, they say, so good ...

~ Sarah Aldrich returns as the much missed Courtney Kanelos and we are told that the cast and crew could not be more happy to have this talented actress back on set. Look for her character to be chemistry tested with at least two actors.

~ Kin Shriner "moves" back to Port Charles from his stay on General Hospital. We cannot wait to see what trouble he stirs up.

~ Lisa Ann Hadley returns for a short engagement to reintroduce her daughter, Christina (now 3 years old), to the canvas. Expect a touching reunion with Nolan North's Chris Ramsey.
